Abstract This CODMAC level 2 data set contains uncalibrated image data in DN unit, acquired by the OSIRIS Narrow Angle Camera on the Rosetta spacecraft during the COMET ESCORT 2 mission phase, covering the period from 2015-04-08T11:25:00.000 to 2015-05-05T23:24:59.000. The prime target is comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko 1 (1969 R1). This version V3.0 supersedes previous deliveries of the same dataset with the following changes since the last version: Lien corrected dataset after the July and October 2018 PSA/PDS external peer reviews. Updated documentation and ancillary files, added document on bandpass filter. Updated SCIENCE_USER_GUIDE_V03.PDF to include one section about FAQ and one section about image data quality. Added shutter backtravel and readout issues to image quality map. Updated DATA_QUALITY_ID keyword in image header. Improved handling of images with missing packets. Included FITs files. Browse products changed to the same size as the original image.
Description Dataset Overview = This CODMAC level 2 data set contains uncalibrated image data in DN unit, acquired by the OSIRIS Narrow Angle Camera on the Rosetta spacecraft during the COMET ESCORT 2 mission phase, covering the period from 2015-04-08T11:25:00.000 to 2015-05-05T23:24:59.000 All header keywords are defined and described in the OSIRIS SIS: \DOCUMENT\SIS\OSIRIS_SIS_V05.PDF. Note that the data part of the FITs files in the /DATA/FIT directory is identical to the data part of the PDS files in the /DATA/IMG directory. FITs files are delivered only for CODMAC levels 2,3, and 4 datasets. No FITs files are delivered for CODMAC level 5 datasets. Credit Line = To be used for image display (presentations, public exposure, etc.) and figure captions (e.g., in scientific articles). The spacecraft carries a Rosetta Lander, named Philae, to the nucleus and deploys it onto its surface. A brief description of the mission and its objectives can be found in [GLASSMEIERETAL2007A]. A detailed description of the mission analysis can be found in the ROSETTA User Manual [RO-DSS-MA-1001], and the flight Operations Plan [RO-ESC-PL-5000]. On its long way to the comet nucleus after a Launch by Ariane 5 P1+ in March 2004, the ROSETTA spacecraft orbited the Sun ...
