Description we propose an investigation of the properties of apparent silicate emission features in the ir spectra of ultra compact hii regions. with sws observations for the first time indications of such features towards hii region were seen. the relation of this material to the hii region is not at all clear. the proposed observations aim to significantly improve the signal to noise for these features, allowing a more detailed study of their properties and relation with the hii regions.

Mission Description The Infrared Space Observatory (ISO) was the world's first true orbiting infrared observatory. Equipped with four highly-sophisticated and versatile scientific instruments, it was launched by Ariane in November 1995 and provided astronomers world-wide with a facility of unprecedented sensitivity and capabilities for a detailed exploration of the Universe at infrared wavelengths.
