Description in this soc guaranteed time proposal we will follow-up on several (11) galaxies detected with isocam in the lonsdale et al filler survey, and which have good reshifts optained from follow-up groundbased work. these sources have z=0.2 to 0.7 and represent a very high redshift sample of luminous infrared galaxies. we will determine accurately the sed in the isocam filter range and will additionally sample the long wavelength region of the sed at 90 and 160 um.

Mission Description The Infrared Space Observatory (ISO) was the worlds first true orbiting infrared observatory. Equipped with four highly-sophisticated and versatile scientific instruments, it was launched by Ariane in November 1995 and provided astronomers world-wide with a facility of unprecedented sensitivity and capabilities for a detailed exploration of the Universe at infrared wavelengths.
