Abstract The gigahertz peaked spectrum (GPS) and compact steep spectrum radiosource PKS 1127-145 is a young radio-galaxy with a 300 kpc jet wasimaged by Chandra. Chandra obsevations of the source revealed abright, flat ~1.2 power-law spectrum which, if extrapolatedto the IBIS/ISGRI energy range would allow a significant detection ofthe source. In this proposal, we aim to detect the source spectrum above 10 keV. Thedetection of the source spectrum, or even a simple detection could inprinciple discriminate among different scenarios for the production ofhigh-energy emission, which in turn may have some bearing on theevolution of these objects. The source lies in an unexplored region of the INTEGRAL If accepted, other extragalactic targets in the region would benefitas well from the increase in the exposure in this under-exposed regionof the sky.

Mission Description The INTEGRAL (International Gamma-Ray Astrophysics Laboratory) mission, launched by the European Space Agency (ESA) on October 17, 2002, was designed to study high-energy phenomena in the universe. INTEGRAL was operating until february 2025 and it was equipped with three high-energy instruments: the Imager on Board the INTEGRAL Satellite (IBIS), the Spectrometer on INTEGRAL (SPI), and the JEM-X (Joint European Monitor for X-rays). Its Optical Monitoring Camera (OMC) provided optical V-band magnitude measurements, complementing the high-energy observations.
