Abstract Monitoring of microquasars such as GRS 1915+105 and Cygnus X-1 during the previous INTEGRAL AOs has revealed a wealth of new observational information. The monitoring has revealed the dynamical behavior of these sources above 20 keV on all timescales, as opposed to the snapshot observations available before. We propose to continue the monitoring of these canonical black holes with a dedicated Key Programme in INTEGRAL AO7, which will also include the soft X-rays through a strategy that allows the source to remain in the field of view of JEM-X. The proposed investigation will allow to study di erent emission models for the two extreme cases of microquasars with INTEGRAL and simultaneous optical, IR, and radio observations. This proposal is a continuation of our earlier accepted observations that started in AO1.

Mission Description The INTEGRAL (International Gamma-Ray Astrophysics Laboratory) mission, launched by the European Space Agency (ESA) on October 17, 2002, was designed to study high-energy phenomena in the universe. INTEGRAL was operating until february 2025 and it was equipped with three high-energy instruments: the Imager on Board the INTEGRAL Satellite (IBIS), the Spectrometer on INTEGRAL (SPI), and the JEM-X (Joint European Monitor for X-rays). Its Optical Monitoring Camera (OMC) provided optical V-band magnitude measurements, complementing the high-energy observations.
