Abstract We propose to perform a set of observations designed to cover the skyregions not probed INTEGRAL so far. This survey is aimed at obtaininga representative sample of local AGN selected by X-ray flux atenergies above 20 keV, and will be several times more sensitive thanthe previous all-sky, hard X-ray survey performed with HEAO-1A4. Strong constraints on the number density and luminosity functionof local AGN, including those heavily obscured and thus undetectablebelow 20 keV, will be obtained.

Mission Description The INTEGRAL (International Gamma-Ray Astrophysics Laboratory) mission, launched by the European Space Agency (ESA) on October 17, 2002, was designed to study high-energy phenomena in the universe. INTEGRAL was operating until february 2025 and it was equipped with three high-energy instruments: the Imager on Board the INTEGRAL Satellite (IBIS), the Spectrometer on INTEGRAL (SPI), and the JEM-X (Joint European Monitor for X-rays). Its Optical Monitoring Camera (OMC) provided optical V-band magnitude measurements, complementing the high-energy observations.
